Websites for contractors that
keep your phone ringing.
I build websites for contractors, and I started out swinging a hammer myself. When I needed a website, every agency wanted crazy money for a basic site — so I learned to build it myself. Now we build them for guys like you. Straight pricing, no upfront cash, financing available, and your contractor website grows as your business grows, not before. Every site is built right here in Chico, California — never farmed out overseas.
WEBSITES FOR THE TRADES & HOME SERVICE PROS
BUILT FOR Handymen, painters, contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, roofers, HVAC, landscapers, fencing, flooring, drywall, masonry & concrete, junk removal, garage doors, tree service, gutters, pressure & power washing, pest control, welders, and locksmiths.
Why your contractor website matters
“Chose you over the other guy because your site actually looked professional.”
— feedback I keep hearing“You were the only one who had a website. If a business doesn’t even have one, I figure they’re probably not that serious.”
— feedback I keep hearingGet the basics. Add on when it pays for itself.
Your website is the first face a customer sees, before they ever meet you. A basic site is what gets you the call over the guy with no site, or the one running something outdated from ten years ago. That’s the starting point, not the whole plan. When work picks up we add what earns its keep — Google Business Profile optimization, SEO, more pages — paid for by the calls your contractor website brings in, not out of your pocket.
Get the site live with your Google Business Profile dialed in, and the calls start coming on their own — you stop chasing work and start answering the phone.
That’s the real goal. Not a call here and there, but enough of them that you get to pick the jobs you actually want instead of taking whatever comes in. And a real website does something Yelp and word of mouth alone don’t: it makes you look established. A legit-looking site is the difference between a customer questioning your price and a customer assuming you’re worth it.
What’s in every contractor website we build
Home page
Says what you do, where you work, and why someone should call you instead of the next guy.
Services & pricing page
Laid out like a real price sheet, not a wall of paragraphs nobody reads.
Photo gallery
Before & after for repair work, straight-up finished shots for new builds — whatever actually sells the job. Your best work, front and center.
Contact page
Click-to-call, a short form, and your service area — no login, no hassle for the customer.
About page
Your story, in your words — how you got into the trade, how long you’ve been at it, why someone should trust the name on the truck.
Hosting, upkeep, and a person to call
If something breaks, that’s on us to fix — not you.
SSL certificate on every site we build
That’s the little padlock icon and “https” in front of your web address. It encrypts anything a customer types into your site and tells Google — and every browser — that your site is secure. Without it, browsers actively warn people away before they even see your page. It’s also one of the signals Google confirms factors into search ranking. Comes standard, no extra charge.
What a contractor website costs
FLAT. UPFRONT. NO BULLSHIT.
You get calls all day from guys selling websites for contractors who want money before they’ve built a thing. I get those calls too. I don’t work that way — I build your site first, you see it live and working, then you pay. I’m trusting you to pay me, not the other way around.
Pay in full
Due when your site goes live. Nothing before that.
Payment plan
$0 down. First payment isn’t due until your site is live — not before.
Payment Plan pricing is higher to reflect deferred payment of the design fee — a time-price differential, not a loan.
Hosting, upkeep & small fixes — that’s what most web designers charge just for the bare minimum. We think keeping a simple site running should be simple money, billed separately from the build.
Send a guy our way
You talk to other contractors all the time — supply runs, job sites, subcontracting. If one of them needs a website, send them our way. Everybody wins. And you don’t even have to be a client to do this.
Credit toward any add-on — hosting, SEO, logo, whatever you need — once the guy you referred has paid us in full for his website.
Credit toward their own add-ons, just for coming from you. Something real to tell your buddy, not just a name drop.
Not everyone who sends business our way needs a website. Supply yard guy, chamber of commerce contact, another local business owner — send someone our way and get $100 via Zelle, Venmo, or whatever’s easiest once they’ve paid us in full. No strings.
Applies to the website itself, not standalone add-on purchases. Paid out once the new customer has paid us in full. No limit — refer as many guys as you want, the credit or payout stacks every time.
Add-ons for your contractor website
New logo design
A clean, simple logo built from scratch — for the site, business cards, truck door, wherever you need it.
Do you need one? →Clean up existing logo
Already have a logo — from a sign shop, truck wrap, wherever? I’ll get it cleaned up and made web-ready instead of building a new one.
Professional email address
you@yourbusiness.com through Google — a real inbox using the same Gmail you already know, not a fake forwarding address. You pay Google directly (check Google’s current pricing), we just set it up. A quote from “mikesplumbing@yourbusiness.com” reads as legit before the customer even opens it — the same quote from “mikeplumber55@gmail.com” reads as a side gig, fair or not.
Is it worth it? →Google Business Profile optimization
Claimed, categorized, photos loaded, service area set — so you show up when someone searches “painter near me” at 9pm. It stays under your name; we just get added as a manager to run it.
Why it matters →Review link & QR cards
Hand a happy customer a card on-site — they scan it, leave a Google review in 10 seconds, you look better every week.
Full guide →Photo gallery update
Send us up to 10 new job photos and we’ll get them added to your gallery. No subscription — just $25 whenever you’ve got fresh photos worth adding.
Why photos matter →Print & merch designs
Business cards, truck magnets, shirt & hat designs — matched to your logo, print-ready files you can send to any print shop. Price depends on which pieces you need, so it’s listed out per product rather than one flat number.
See print & merch pricing →SEO package
Keyword-targeted page content and local listings work — built to move you up past competitors over time, not just once.
When to add it →Blog & articles
Two new articles a month, written around your trade and your town — more pages, more searches you show up for, and real proof you’re still active out there.
Do you need one? →Full site build-out
Once you’re ready to grow past the basics — a dedicated page for every service you offer, every town you work in, and standalone landing pages for specific offers. Priced per page beyond the first 5. Hosting bumps up slightly to match the bigger site.
Why it works →Yelp, Nextdoor, or your own website?
I’ve run all of these for my own business — Yelp ads, Nextdoor, paid directories, the works. Here’s what actually happens with each one, and why owning your own site beats renting space on someone else’s platform.
You pay per click, whether it turns into a job or not. No published rate card — a sales rep talks you into a monthly minimum, and plenty of guys end up billed long after they tried to cancel.
The free version barely shows up. Real visibility means paying to run ads inside somebody else’s feed, competing with every other business posting that same day.
Free to show up in the map results when someone searches “[your trade] near me.” Your website is yours — it doesn’t disappear if you stop paying a platform, and it keeps working the longer it’s up.
I’ve done it all — Yelp, Nextdoor, paid ads. This is the one that actually pays off.

Common questions about websites for contractors
How much does a contractor website cost?
Ours is $697 paid in full, or $139.50 a month for six months with nothing down. Hosting runs $37 a month on top of that. For comparison, 2026 pricing guides put a professional contractor website in the $2,500 to $6,000 range, and full agency builds commonly start around $5,000 and climb from there. A deposit before work starts is standard almost everywhere.
The gap isn’t quality, it’s overhead. Agencies have account managers, sales teams and offices to pay for. I don’t.
Do I really need a website for my contracting business?
If you want to be found when someone searches your trade plus your town, yes. Two things people underestimate: a website is what makes your Google Business Profile rank properly in the map results, and it’s the thing a homeowner quietly checks before deciding whether your quote sounds reasonable.
Word of mouth still works. But word of mouth now ends with someone typing your name into Google to see if you’re real. If nothing comes up, that referral cools off fast.
How long does it take to build a contractor website?
A straightforward five-page build usually takes about a week once we’ve got your intake form, photos and logo. The Service Agreement sets the estimated window at two to three weeks, and that’s the number that governs — plenty of builds aren’t straightforward.
What moves it: how fast your photos and answers come in, extra pages beyond the standard five, and any add-ons running alongside the build. Two rounds of revisions per page are included before final approval, and nothing is due until it’s live.
Do you build websites for my trade?
Handymen, painters, general contractors, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, roofers, HVAC techs, landscapers, fencing, flooring, drywall, masonry and concrete, junk removal, garage doors, tree service, gutters, pressure washing, pest control, welding and locksmiths. If your trade isn’t on that list, ask — the answer is almost always yes.
What if I already have a website?
If it’s more than a few years old, doesn’t work properly on a phone, or has no padlock in the address bar, it’s likely costing you calls rather than earning them. Over half of local searches happen on a phone, and a site that pinches and zooms reads as abandoned.
We rebuild at the same flat price and move your existing domain across, so you keep the address people already know.
Do I own the website?
Yes. It’s yours once it’s paid for. Your Google Business Profile also stays under your name — we’re added as a manager to run it, never as the owner. Plenty of marketing companies do the opposite and hold your profile hostage when you try to leave.
Will I show up on Google right away?
No, and anyone promising otherwise is selling you something. A brand new site usually takes a few weeks just to get indexed, and a few months before it ranks for anything competitive in your town. That is normal and it is the same for everybody.
What moves fastest is your Google Business Profile. Once that is claimed, categorised properly and pointing at a real site, you can start turning up in the map results within weeks. That is where most of the early calls come from, which is why we push it before anything fancy.
The site is the foundation underneath it. Google needs somewhere to send people, and it needs to see a real business doing real work at a real address. That reputation builds over months, not overnight, so the practical answer is simple: get live now and start the clock. The guy who launches in spring and keeps adding reviews and job photos is ranking by the autumn. The guy still thinking about it in the autumn starts from zero.
What happens if I stop paying for hosting?
The site comes down until it’s current, but the files and the domain stay yours. You’re not locked in and you’re not held to a contract. If you’d rather move it somewhere else down the road, we hand it over and wish you luck.
The fine print
- Nothing is due until your site is live and working the way you asked.
- We host and maintain the site — if it goes down, that’s on us to fix, not you.
- You get the price and terms in writing before anything starts, so there’s no surprise later.
- Two rounds of revisions per page are included during the build, before final approval. Extra rounds, and anything after approval, are billed as an add-on or under a written change order.
- Payment plan is 6 months, on time, every month. Miss a payment and it’s not made up within 30 days, the plan is canceled — payments already made are non-refundable, and the site comes down until the remaining balance is paid in full, in one payment. No resuming the monthly plan after that.
- The $837 total reflects the higher price for spreading payment of the design fee over 6 months — a time-price differential for the service, not a loan. You’re purchasing website design services; the higher total compensates for deferred payment. No separate interest rate or APR is charged.
- Your Google Business Profile stays under your name, always — we get added as a manager to run it, never as the owner.
- *The $37/mo hosting price covers the standard 5-page site. Adding pages or features beyond that bumps the hosting rate up to match the bigger site — you’ll always get that number in writing before agreeing to it.
